Nuiākea is a non-credit distance learning outreach program of the Kīpuka Native Hawaiian Student Center at the University of Hawai'i at Hilo. Nuiākea was established in 2005 to serve Native Hawaiian communities world-wide and is funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Post-secondary Education, Title III, Part A Native Hawaiian Serving Institutions Program.
Nuiākea works with the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo College of Continuing Education & Community Service (CCECS) to administer the program. | |

The mission of Nuiākea is to present the promise of Hawaiʻi, to reacquaint, recover and redefine these communities with Hawaiʻi, their ancestral home.
Our vision is to provide a holistic on-line learning experience of Hawaiʻi, blending culture, technology and on-site instruction for Hawaii’s descendants. | |
